Our Staff
Transitional Minister
Rev. Dr. Lucia Kremzar
Lucia serves on the Grace Presbytery Presbyterian Women Coordinating Team. She loves teaching, preaching, and inspiring others in faith. Lucia’s first vocation was social work, where she served pregnant teenagers, abused and neglected children, and the elderly.
Lucia's journey to professional ministry began with a call she heeded, leading her to TCU’s Brite Divinity School from 2000-2005. In 2012, she earned a Doctor of Ministry in Preaching from Luther Seminary, St. Paul, MN. Between 2005 and 2020, she served churches in Bridgeport, Grand Prairie, and Flower Mound. Today, she serves as a Supervised Ministry facilitator at Brite and is a Minister Member of Grace Presbytery.
For fun, Lucia delights in reading, gardening, music, following sports, and attending live theater. She and her husband Matt have three grown children whose residences include Austin, Plano, and Dallas. They also have two granddaughters, ages four and two, and one grandson, age 4 months.

Pianist/Organist
Dr. Vernon Boyd
Vernon Boyd has served as pianist, organist and occasional choir director at St. Philip Presbyterian Church since 2008. He is a native Texan born in Fort Worth, and apart from school and military, has lived most of his life in the area. “Doc” Boyd holds Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees from Texas Christian University, and a PhD from the Eastman School of Music of the University of Rochester, New York.
Vern has taught music at Tarrant County College for about 38 years, teaching almost everything in the curriculum. He now teaches Music Appreciation for Trinity River Campus downtown. Vern has also played for the Northeast Theater for about 25 years, in addition to teaching classes, private lessons, accompanying vocalists, instrumentalists and choirs. For some time he acted in theatrical productions as well, both at Northeast Campus and at Granbury Opera, where he also played and conducted musicals.
Vern’s appetite to learn new things is insatiable. A friend from high school has been tutoring him in Biblical Greek for several years.
Administrative Assistant
Lisa Robinson
Our Administrative Assistant is Lisa Robinson. Lisa is very excited to join the staff here at St. Philip Presbyterian Church. Lisa has an extensive history of office experience in a number of fields, including working as a legal secretary and a mortgage underwriter. Her last church office position was as administrative assistant for St. Patrick Church in Pennsylvania, where she worked for over eight years.
Lisa and her family moved here from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 2015 for her husband's job at American Airlines. They have a daughter who is in her first year of college. Prior to that, she lived in Pittsburgh her entire life, so moving here was quite an adjustment. What she loves most about Texas is the people.
