Congregational Life and Nurture Committee provides for the growth of members of the congregation and our church by:
-
equipping for ministry through personal and congregational care by sharing in fellowship and mutual support;
-
planning activities such as the Easter Brunch, the Fourth of July Celebration, and the Fall Festival. Other activities are devoted to our health and well-being. For example there is Lunch and Learn which focuses on topics of interest to the congregation, such as healthy eating, legacy giving, and cancer prevention;
-
coordinating with our Faith Community Nurse program, which provides avenues for the care and nurture of the mind and spirit of the members of the congregation;
-
maintaining the Prayer Chain which is an integral part of the committee and a critical part of keeping members informed about congregants’ family and friends with health challenges, celebrations about lives well-lived, and the arrival of babies;
-
coordinating a group of members, lovingly referred to as The Angels of Sustenance, to prepare and deliver meals in times of members’ crises.
