Worship & Music
On most Sundays, St. Philip offers two morning worship services, one at 8:30 am and one at 11:00 am, both held in the Sanctuary. During June and July we have a single worship service at 10:00 am.
Should celebrations or other events cause us to change the worship schedule on a given Sunday, this change will be noted in Greg's welcome on the homepage.
The Sunday 8:30 am service is a traditional contemplative format, and communion is celebrated every week around the Communion Table. While children are welcome, a Time for Young Christians is not part of the service. The nursery is available during this service for infants and toddlers.
The Sunday 11:00 am service is a traditional format with contemporary elements, and communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of every month and other appropriate days of the Christian year. Children gather at a Time for Young Christians, and then younger children are invited to Childrens Worship in Shepherds Shelter for the duration of the service. The nursery is available during this service for infants and toddlers.
The Fifth Sunday service is a more contemporary service with the presentation of contemporary worship music in a less formal environment. Often the seating is at tables, where small groups can discuss the message and ideas presented during the service. While children are welcome, a Time for Young Christians is not part of the service. The nursery is available during this service for infants and toddlers.
St. Philip has a Young Adults Group that meets every Thursday. This takes place at in the church kitchen. This is a time for young adults to gather, talk, eat, drink and be together. We solidify details each week on facebook. Click here to connect.
Additional worship services are held to celebrate special days throughout the Christian year.
