Congregational Life

SMALL GROUP MINISTRY:

St. Philip offers Bible study for small groups at various times during the week. The groups are formed and determined by each person's own individual schedule, and group members have similar schedules. Small groups are designed in this manner to enhance the time and fellowship spent with friends for Bible study. GROUPS FOR ADULTS:

Presbyterian Women

Presbyterian Women is an independent organization within the PC(USA) of more than 300,000 women. Presbyterian Women offers women in the church meaningful ways to live out their faith in an inclusive, caring community of women. For more information, contact the Presbyterian Women Moderator by calling the Church Office. St. Philip has four PW circles:

  • Life Circle: Meets the second Monday of the month at 5:30 p.m. at a residence or a restaurant
  • Grace Circle: Meets the second Tuesday of the month at 9:30 a.m. in "Room 11" Room 11 in the Christian Education wing
  • Sheila Bradley Circle: Meets the second Tuesday of the month at 10:00 a.m. in the Church Parlor
  • Men’s Coffee Fellowship

    The men of St. Philip meet the 1st & 3rd Wednesdays of the month at 8:30 a.m. in the Parlor to share coffee, fellowship, and study. Please join us as we explore a deeper meaning of our faith. For more information, call the Church Office.

    Happy Slackers Lunch

    If you are retired, unemployed, or semi-employed guy, we want you to join us for a good time. There are no rules, dues, or dress codes. You pay for your own lunch and kick in a couple of bucks to pay for the lunch of the men whose birthday is in that month. The birthday boy(s) can select the restaurant, but we have the right of veto. Feel free to bring any Happy Slackers you know, but no grumpy old men are allowed. For more information, contact the Head Slacker by calling the Church Office.

    Mariners Fellowship

    Mariners Fellowship is a tradition in the Presbyterian church of meeting with other members that share similar life situations for fellowship, study and service. St. Philip's Mariners group meets on the third Saturday of the month in the Fellowship Hall, at a member's home, or at a local restaurant. For more information, contact the Skippers by calling the Church Office.

    St. Philip Young Adults Group

    St. Philip has a Young Adults Group that meets every Thursday. This takes place at in the church kitchen. This is a time for young adults to gather, talk, eat, drink and be together. We solidify details each week on facebook. Click here to connect.

    GROUPS FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH:

    St. Philip Kids

    St.philip kids has quarterly events for children (elementary age) and families to enjoy together. They also have special events such as an advent festivle and trunk or treat. They also gather on Sunday mornings in Shepherds shelter (Room 8 in the Christian Education wing) to sing, share the week's highs & lows, and pray.     St. Philip Youth

    Junior and Senior High Youth meet most Sunday nights at 5:00 for dinner and an activity, as well as community events and church camps and conferences. The youth help plan their events and strive to have an even mix in their calendar of events focused on mission, spirituality, and fellowship.
